KEY Project is one of Aloha Harvest's wonderful recipient agencies. They need 6-8 volunteers every third Thursday of the month to help support their 'Ohana Foodbank Distribution in Kahuku to feed and nourish our Ko'olauloa community members. Youth between the ages of 13-17 are welcomed to participate with a guardian present.
The work + timeline
- 11:00 am- Arrival/check-in: volunteers can expect to be prepped on the overview of the day and get assigned to their food stations
- 12:00 pm-2:00 pm - Serving community members: volunteers will distribute food directly to community members and will help to clean up as needed
- 2:00 pm-2:30 pm - Clean up: volunteers can expect to help break down tables, consolidate any leftover produce, sweep, and sanitize facility areas
- Closed toed shoes are required
- We recommend wearing comfy clothes that you don't mind getting messy in (t-shirt, leggings, jeans, etc.)
- Please meet at Kahuku Village Association, 56-576 Kamehameha Hwy, Kahuku, HI 96731
- Volunteers can check-in at the main hall. An "enter here" sign will be up for your reference on where to go.
