Aloha,
We are looking for ten volunteers to help us harvest lemongrass at Rick's Farm in Waipahu. The lemongrass we harvest will be donated and distributed to social service agencies on Oahu that help feed our community.
Rick's Farm is a one-acre farm operated by a Go Farm Hawaii graduate. The farm grows a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, all grown organically.

Address: 94-340 Kunia Road, Waipahu, HI 96797
Date: Friday, 3/24, from 9 am to 12 pm
Directions:
From H1 Westbound, take the Kunia exit. The second light on the left across Wendy's, there's a sign that says Hawaii Agriculture Research Center. Enter the first gate until you get to the second gate. Wait outside the second gate. Call Phyllis to unlock the second gate; her number is 808-358-1851. Please call her number, not text, as cell service is spotty on the farm.
Parking: There is plenty of onsite parking available.
Additional POC: Haleigh, our Sustainability Coordinator, will also be at the farm to assist with the harvest. Her number is 808-861-2754.
What to bring:
Please wear closed-toed shoes and sun protection, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your water bottle!
Optional: Bring a bag to take home some lemongrass from the harvest.
